  • Chickadees:  The following poems are not typed in order.  I am typing them as I picked up from the desk.

In front of the fire we sit and wait,

To see the smiles that our children will make

When they open their presents of toys and gifts,

Causing their eyes to light up, and my spirits to lift.

For Christmas day this year will bring,

Joy to all as the angels did sing,

With friends and family all now home.

None of us have to feel alone.

Each we toast to each loved ones passed,Each year we try to make love our last.

Outside our window a pure winter's snow. Will shine in tomorrow morning' heavenly glow.

Family and friends I haven'y seen all year,

Sharing old stories that bring laughter and tears.

And even with Christmas at my door,

I think that I could wait for tomorrow, a litttle more.

                                                            DECEMBER'S  PALETTE

We'll dream of peppermints when we are abed,

                             And Santa's coats

                              And choir notes

                              Let's paint the town red!

We'll dream of garlands and sweet manger scens,

                               And holy wreaths

                               And festive trees,

                                Let's paint the town Green!

We'll dream of snowfall and soft candle light,

                                 And fluttering wings,

                                  While angels sing,

                                   Let's paint the town White!

                                                                                          Alicia------Dec.  2009

I feel like I'm going crazy

                                  Everyone's around me lately

                                   They're all shoppingmfor the holiday

                                    And that's okay.

                                    Since it's Christmastime

                                     Bless this life!

                                      Jesus Christ

                                                                         Gina Grace------Dec. 2009

                                                              A child remembering snow

                                   Snow falling slowly,

                                   Dancing, spinning, twirling,

                                    Patterns forming beautifully,

                                    Of colors, light, and shadows

                                     Winds singing softly,

                                      Frolicking, soothing, and melancholy,

                                      Of playtime, past-times, yet cold.

                                                                             Daniel Smith----Dec.  2009

                                     OOOh Christmas time,  Christmas time,

I think I've lost my mind

O what fun it is to wrap

                                        Presents all the time.

                                        HEY

Pray for me, pray for me,

I'm sure I've lost my mind

All I do is think about

                                         Presents all the time!

(note)  This poem can be sung to the tune of Jingle Bells.  Try it-it's cute!

  •

Tis the week before Christmas, we're all in a funk,

We've not finished our shopping, what's left is just junk.

It's too late to make it!There's no way to fake it!

What, oh what will we do?

Ideas are circling our heads like a wreath, to pick out just one is like pulling teeth.

"Let's hop in the car and go to the coaast, I've heard that the stores there should have the

                            most!"

"No, just think of the gas and all they put tax on.  I'm grabbing my purse and going to

                           Jackson!"

Don't wonder what you need to do!

We'll do what God wants and share his great news, and forget about toys and the sizes of

                            shoes!

For to us he gave Jesus to brighten our lives,  So to all the children, and husbands and wives,

Let us put away all,of our stress and tense lives.

Let's tell all of Jesus's birth that bright night,

And wish to all a blessed Christmas and to all a good night!

                                                                     REGRET

                           I see them coming

A frightened young woman on a mule,

                            Her Companion, grim faced,

His nervous eyes shifting to her belly,

                              I look away.

From the corner of my eye,

                              The impending mother seems surrounded

                               By a shimmeringg golden nist.

I blink, and it vanishes into the night.

She is special, but so is everyone else

                                 Who has come here tonight,

And so, when he asks, "Please."

I folrce my eyes to his, murmuring,

                                   "No room

                                   No room

                                    No room."

  • They said it was too long for facebvook.  CONGRATULATIONS--GRAVD PRIZE

                                            SILENT NIGHT  HOLY NIGHT

Bethlehem was unaware of this great light.

Little did they know that he was the Don

The great Emancipator-He was the one

They didn't know that i the catttle's manger lay the Word,

So that the amazing love of the Father could be heard.

They had no idea that God, Himself, had stepped down,

Choosing only cross over His perfect holy crown,

For the little One that cried to catch His first breath,

Would win victory over hell, the grave and death.

Bethlehem never knew how dark was its sight,

Until the first Christmas morning wheen Jesus became our Light.

Comments on Medina's thoughts on healing I certainly admit that i don't know why God heals some and not others, But i think god gets blamed for things he does not do. Satan too has some powers. Remember the Egyptian soothsayers he gave the power to turn the rod into a serpent? We also have t
